Cosmetic Dentistry to Achieve Your Best Smile
Is there anything you don’t love about your smile? Do you have uneven teeth? Gaps? Are they stained? If you want to make your smile whiter, straighter, aligned, or improved in any way, that’s where cosmetic dentistry procedures come in.
Bonding is an attractive, affordable way to correct damaged or unsightly teeth. During this treatment, Dr. Rosen or Dr. Dworkin will bond a durable resin material to the surface of the tooth, then shape and polish it to a natural and attractive appearance. Bonding is available for front or back teeth. This durable and easy-maintenance treatment can help your smile to look more smooth and even.
Porcelain veneers are thin, strong sheets of porcelain permanently placed over your existing teeth. Veneers beautifully correct stained, damaged, or imperfectly shaped teeth, and they can also close gaps between teeth. Porcelain veneers have an extremely realistic appearance because they are slightly translucent, allowing light to gently pass into them as with your natural teeth.
Veneers are translucent, strong, and stain-resistant. Consuming coffee, tea, tobacco, or red wine will not affect the appearance of porcelain veneers any more than natural tooth structure. If you would like to improve your smile with porcelain veneers, Dr. Rosen or Dr. Dworkin would be pleased to discuss the procedure with you during your initial consultation. We look forward to giving you the smile you’ve always wanted!
Silver or gold fillings to restore a tooth after a cavity or root canal used to be the norm. But silver colored fillings have a tendency to weaken tooth structure over time, and can even turn your tooth black. And gold fillings can be expensive. Now there is a better option: tooth-colored fillings. Made of a durable resin composite that is tinted to exactly match your natural teeth, these fillings can restore your smile and help you avoid the embarrassment of having a “metal mouth.” Available for both front and back teeth, tooth-colored fillings are incredibly strong, natural-looking, and long-lasting. Talk to Dr. Rosen or Dr. Dworkin today to find out if a tooth-colored filling will work for you.
Invisalign provides patients with an alternative to traditional orthodontic braces. Instead of being bonded to teeth and requiring rubber bands, brackets, and other components, Invisalign is clear and removable. This system works like braces to gradually straighten your teeth by using an aligner tray made from BPA-free plastic.
There are many benefits to this system, including being able to eat and drink whatever you want during treatment. In addition, brushing and flossing will not be an issue, as you can easily remove the trays. Because there are no brackets or wires to adjust, you will also spend less time in the dental chair getting adjustments.
Each set of customized aligners is worn for 2 weeks, and we will have you visit us about every 6 weeks to check on your progress and give you the next set of aligners. Total Invisalign treatment averages between nine and 15 months, and patients will wear around 18 to 30 aligners throughout the course of treatment.
